Purpose of the job:
The Look Development Artist works as part of the Look Development team that defines all the
technical and aesthetic aspects needed to create the appearance of a 3-D element.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Strong knowledge of VRay and Maya or similar raytraced renderers
• Fluent with node-based shading networks
• Creating shader networks in VRay and Maya to hand off to lighting for use in shot
• Participates as a team member in determining various design and technical solutions;
provides feedback to other team members of the production
• Linear color pipeline/understanding of colorspaces and global illumination problems and

Education and/or Experience Required:
• Strong knowledge of VRay and Maya
• Strong problem solving ability and proven good creative eye
• Basic Nuke skills
• Must be able to work in a collaborative environment, and take direction from Supervisors
• Must provide solid lookdev and/or lighting examples with detailed breakdown
