Overview

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
• Style and design hair, and partner with supervisors to create desired hairstyles, fur, digital wardrobes and cg
environments.
• Take existing hair styles and update/modify for shot specific variations of character
• Add hair detail to props, environments and costumes

Skills, Education and/or Experience Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Art, or related field, or comparable work experience
• Familiarity with a commercial hair system (Yeti, Xgen, etc.) or proprietary hair system
• Expertise in Maya
• Artistic eye
• A willingness to learn and grow, have strong listening skills, and be open to constructive criticism
• Creativity, patience, and ability to work as a team player in a high pressure, deadline-driven environment
• Strong communication skills
• Proficiency and/or experience in the following would be a plus but not a requirement: rigging, modeling, texture,
Python, and/or Mel scripting
