We are hiring for a Central Production Resource Manager to join our Vancouver studio team. Reporting to the Director of Production Finance, the Central Resource Manager is responsible for partnering with key stakeholders at our 3 studio locations to provide practical, consistent and proactive advice on matters relating to the internal resources of our productions. Working with creative artists and production team members, you will be the point person regarding internal staffing of productions as well as identifying needs for incoming projects. We are looking for someone with a good blend of talent management and production experience.
What you will be doing:
- Resourcing, monitoring and forecasting for existing projects as well as assisting in establishing the required resources for incoming new projects
- Facilitate the internal transfer process of artists between productions and locations
- Oversee and communicate with all creative directors and Line Producers to assign show resource & crewing priorities
- Initiate and/or participate in the design, analysis and development of talent management programs and projects
- Work directly with Talent Acquisition and People & Culture team for recruitment needs
- Providing efficiency reports/forecasts and creative solutions for resource needs
- Maintain reports regarding seat capacity for each studio
- Assist with resolution of employee complaints and conflicts
What you bring to the table:
- High level vision to ensure a holistic approach regarding staffing of resources across multiple productions.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar leadership role in production and/or HR role preferably in the film or animation industry
- Experience working with stakeholders at all levels within the organization
- Ability to handle conflicting points of view and tough conversations
- Solid understanding of local employment legislations, standards and requirements
- Sense of humour paired with high degree of professionalism
