Overview

Zoic is currently seeking an I/O Lead for our Vancouver studio. This is a key position that will lead a small team in our I/O Department and oversee the organization of project drives and data ingestion and output. The I/O Lead reports to the Head of Production.  This is a 1 year, full time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Organize drives shipments and returns
  • Make sure that footage is transferred to servers
  • Oversee the organization of project drives & data ingestion
  • Oversee the organization of project media & data ingestion
  • Prep and process on-set proprietary data & lens information
  • Plate Preparation with editorial software
  • Prep and organize EDLs including creation of shot folders
  • Publish plates, de-grains and proxies
  • Organize data in conjunction with shot management tool; Shotgun
  • Relay notes for shots including, time warps, push-ins or assets as required.
  • Determine if there are any IO/Overcut updates
  • Administrative including performance management for team

Qualifications:

  • Extensive editorial experience and thorough understanding of film editing
  • knowledge of multiple Editing/Motion Graphics software’s including Avid, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects
  • Thorough understanding  & experience with post-production process
  • Past experience leading a team
  • Knowledge of Hiero an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Flexible Schedule
