Overview
WildBrain is looking for a Shot Finaling Artist to join our team!
In this role, you have exceptional skills and experience in surfacing and texturing in Substance. You create characters, props and set models that accurately represent the artistic goals and story concepts of the production. You test tools created by the pipeline team for modeling and provide feedback.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure that all assets in shot are accurate and approved
- Compare approved animation and cache to ensure they are identical
- Troubleshoot and report any issues including – geometry penetrations, floating assets, missing shaders, etc. to CG
- Supervisor and revise as needed
- Identify and note any and all issues in Shotgun
- Resolve all issues in a timely manner
- Work within the established pipeline and offer constructive suggestions to improve the process
- Ensure that all production deadlines are met while producing work at a quality level in keeping with production requirements
- Help teammates debug issues and learn new methods
What You’ll Bring:
- Understanding of production modeling, animation, and rigging techniques
- Ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work alone and collaboratively, often with multiple tasks and under deadline pressure
- Generalist experience is an asset
- Shotgun experience is an asset
- 1 year of experience in Maya
- Proficiency in Maya is a must
