WildBrain is currently seeking an Accounting Assistant to support our team in the day-to-day operation of the department. This position is perfect for an individual who is self-motivated, calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and looking to grow and gain experience within a friendly, creative environment!

Permanent Full Time position in our BC-based Studio.

What You’ll Do:

  • Bi-weekly processing of independent contractor
  • Accounts Payable invoices
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations in Microsoft Dynamics in multiple currencies
  • Review timesheets for preparation of payment of voice record to cast and union; entry of resulting timesheets into Accounts payable module of Microsoft Dynamics
  • Coding invoices for writers and preparation of union fringe remittances, and entry of both into
  • Accounts payable module
  • Prepare GST returns and file online
  • Perform administrative tasks such as filing, sorting and photocopying documents
  • Update and maintain excel spreadsheets
  • Other tasks and responsibilities as requested

What You’ll Bring:

  • Completion of related courses
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or similar accounting software
  • 2 years of accounting experience
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills
  • Great attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate and timely records
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Intermediate Adobe Acrobat skills
  • Experience in a large organization with intercompany or multidivisional accounting
  • Professional and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team to meet deadlines
