Overview

Seeking an experienced, hard-working, motivated person to join our busy VFX team in early July 2015.

Interested?  We’d like to hear from you if you can meet these requirements:

3+ years professional experience on- set data wrangling on television series & feature films, with professional references & contacts.

Capable of independent work with little supervision, day to day.
You’re capable of identifying and communicating technical issues encountered to respective VFX/ Department Supervisors/ Keys.

You have great communication skills, work hard, get the job done, treat every person on the crew with professionalism & respect.

You take detailed camera notes, working closely with assistant camera operators and script supervisor to ensure accurate logging of camera data (focal length, lens height, tilt, etc).

You are highly proficient with capturing spherical HDR’s for CG lighting.
You have your own equipment such as DSLR camera, lens (for reference photos), tripod, ball head, inclinometer, distometer, etc. We supply a Promote controller, Nodal Ninja, and wide angle lens for Canon 5D or 7D.

You are fast and efficient with  set surveys / measurements of major props requiring VFX work.

 You are proficient with photographing textures and props for rebuilding in VFX.  You have lenses & DSLR reference camera to shoot props, textures, buildings, etc.

Ensure timely delivery of all files, both internal and external.
Daily camera data uploads are expected & a priority.

Proficient with both MAC and Windows OS.
Your small Mac/ PC laptop for on-set use would be invaluable most days.

Familiar with FileMaker Pro.

Must be able to work 12+ hour days 5-6 days a week for the duration of the shoot.
Our days can be long, but the show looks great! 

Must have your own dependable vehicle to get to set, exterior locations, various studios, etc.
Four wheels are best– we work in all weather conditions, inside & out.

This is a contract position for an individual on site daily, July 2015 to Spring 2016. We are not looking for outsource vendors or off site freelancers. Metro Vancouver residents are ideal (sorry, no relocation funding available).
