About the Role
VANAS is seeking experienced industry professionals to join our Program Advisory Committee (PAC) for our Animation, Visual Effects, and Games programs. PAC members play a critical role in ensuring our curriculum remains relevant, current, and aligned with industry standards and workforce needs across a wide range of programs, including:
- 2D Computer Animation
- 3D Computer Animation
- 3D Modeling
- Animated Short Films
- Concept Art
- Digital Matte Painting
- Effects Animation
- Esports Management
- Production Management in Digital Entertainment
- Video Game Design
- Virtual Reality
This is a non-salaried advisory position to avoid any conflict of interest. The primary value of this role lies in professional influence, industry collaboration, and access to a high-level network of fellow advisory members from across the creative and technology sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in 1–2 advisory meetings per year (virtual or in person)
- Review and provide feedback on:
- Program structure and learning outcomes
- Curriculum relevance and industry alignment
- Emerging trends, tools, and workflows in the specific programs listed above
- Offer strategic insights to strengthen graduate employability
- Contribute to continuous improvement and long-term program vision
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 5+ years of professional experience in Animation, Visual Effects, Games, or related creative/technical fields
- Currently working in the industry or recently active
- Familiarity with current production pipelines, tools, and trends
- Strong interest in education, mentorship, and industry development
- Comfortable providing constructive, high-level feedback in a collaborative setting
Time Commitment
- 1–2 meetings per year (1 hour each)
- Optional participation in occasional email feedback or short reviews
