About the Role

VANAS is seeking experienced industry professionals to join our Program Advisory Committee (PAC) for our Animation, Visual Effects, and Games programs. PAC members play a critical role in ensuring our curriculum remains relevant, current, and aligned with industry standards and workforce needs across a wide range of programs, including:

  • 2D Computer Animation
  • 3D Computer Animation
  • 3D Modeling
  • Animated Short Films
  • Concept Art
  • Digital Matte Painting
  • Effects Animation
  • Esports Management
  • Production Management in Digital Entertainment
  • Video Game Design
  • Virtual Reality

This is a non-salaried advisory position to avoid any conflict of interest. The primary value of this role lies in professional influence, industry collaboration, and access to a high-level network of fellow advisory members from across the creative and technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in 1–2 advisory meetings per year (virtual or in person)
  • Review and provide feedback on:
  • Program structure and learning outcomes
  • Curriculum relevance and industry alignment
  • Emerging trends, tools, and workflows in the specific programs listed above
  • Offer strategic insights to strengthen graduate employability
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and long-term program vision

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Animation, Visual Effects, Games, or related creative/technical fields
  • Currently working in the industry or recently active
  • Familiarity with current production pipelines, tools, and trends
  • Strong interest in education, mentorship, and industry development
  • Comfortable providing constructive, high-level feedback in a collaborative setting

Time Commitment

  • 1–2 meetings per year (1 hour each)
  • Optional participation in occasional email feedback or short reviews
