Overview
The Sequence Group is looking for an experienced FX TD to join the team for the next 6 months on an upcoming project.
The FX artist will be responsible for creating high-caliber dynamic and riveting visual 3D FX. This role requires troubleshooting skills to be able to solve technical and artistic issues while meeting client requirements and production deadlines.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop and produce a variety of visual effects
Work under the guidance of supervisors to achieve the desired level of aesthetic quality and technical accuracy, often exploring different approaches and looks.
Revise simulations based on client and supervisor feedback in a timely manner
Work within the established pipeline and effectively communicate to other artists on how to use said FX systems and help them through the process if need be
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Able to build systems that can create complex FX; but are simple, intuitive, and easy to control
Demonstrated knowledge of Houdini, including its advantages over other tools as well as its disadvantages
Skillful with dynamic simulations
Advanced knowledge of Maya
Strong work ethic, highly motivated and can work independently or part of a team
Ability to take direction from supervisor positively and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Experience with Redshift renderer an asset
3+ years experience as an FX artist
Only local residents with Canadian citizenship and/or valid working permits will be considered at this time.
