Overview
VFX/Animation Coordinator Wanted:
This coordinator position is responsible for managing the day-to-day production schedule and the crew to ensure the timely and efficient completion of the production. Under the direction of Senior Producers, he/she develops and oversees the department schedules and implements overall project strategies. Strong knowledge of Shotgun project management software is a must.
You are also responsible for ensuring that pertinent information is communicated to all appropriate parties on the project at all times. The ideal candidate will have completed at least one 3D animated series or VFX heavy production.
Duties:
Coordinate day-to-day production workflow and communication.
Maintain the overall project schedule, ensure that department schedules tie into the master schedule, and track/forecast headcount and resource usage.
Ensure quotas are met and troubleshoot issues that prevent departments from hitting quotas. Assess challenges to productivity and direct the senior leadership towards solutions to solve the issues. Strategize production challenges to ensure a steady flow of inventory.
Create and monitor each department’s information in the studio’s production management software (Shotgun) and continually validate the accuracy of the information.
Experience:
2+ years animation or VFX production experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Extensive experience in Shotgun project management software a must
Understanding of 2D and 3D animation pipelines preferred
Proficiency in Gmail and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel
Strong organizational and project management skills
Must be capable of working independently or as part of a team and demonstrate initiative
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Solid work ethic and positive attitude
Efficient and detail oriented
Ability to deliver work on time and meet set performance objectives
