Overview

Stormborn Studios is looking for a motivated, skilled and experienced Lead FX TD with extensive experience in photoreal visual effects. We’re a small studio in Vancouver, working on big FX-heavy sequences.
Give us a shout if you feel ready to step it up to the next level or if you’ve been leading in FX for a while and want a change of scenery.

– Must have a minimum of 8 years as FX TD
– Extensive knowledge of Houdini
– Experience with destruction and water simulations
– Strong eye for detail and thorough understanding of photo-real simulation techniques
– Have a passion for sorting out pipeline issues, creating innovating workflows and problem solving
– Ability to balance feature-film level quality with realistic time constraints
– Ability to lead a small, experienced team of FX Artists
– Strong Python skills
– Strong understanding of VEX
– Experienced with cache data management & workflow efficiency
