Job Summary:
We are currently looking for a highly experienced and creative VFX Supervisor to join our growing team. The VFX Supervisorprovides creative leadership to a team of dynamic artistsin the completion of final shots.You must have a proven track record of success and be able toproduce at the highest quality possiblefor our clients. We are looking for team player, effective communicator and someone who looks forward to daily challenges.
Primary Responsibilities:
Creatively manage every VFX shot from concept to completion
Prepare the visual effects bidding and script breakdowns
Participate in pre-production meetings
Supervise the on set filming of VFX sequences: retrieve filming information, oversee the necessary on-set installations for the filming of sequences
Excellent understanding of composition, light and color with strong attention to detail
Ability to meet strict deadlines often under pressure
Excellent communication, organization skills and budget management skills
Knowledge of various 2D/3D software (Nuke, Maya etc.)
Recruit and manage teams as necessary
Knowledge/Skills/Experience Required:
At least 5 years experience as a VFX supervisor in live action episodic television, MOW and/or feature films
Extensive knowledge of VFX production and CG pipelines
Thorough understanding of film production and on-set experience
Experience with recruitment, training and supervision of CG and Comp artists
Experience with SHOTGUNExpert knowledge of Nuke required as well as integration; After Effects, Fusion all a big plus
A strong technical understanding of CG pipelines and the ability to specify efficient workflows and identify additional tools required
Previous film industry experience with the ability to ensure artists work is of a high standard both artistically and technically
Previous experience of training, mentoring and recruiting CG and Comp Artists is an asset
