Do you have experience animating vehicles, aircraft, and complex objects in a VFX production environment? We’re on the lookout for an experienced Hard Surface Animator to join the team for a short contract on one of our feature projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create quality animation using digital tools for assigned shots
• Predominantly vehicles, aircraft, and complex object based animation
• Plan shots with an understanding of story/character context
• Collaborate with and take direction from Animation Leads
• Interact with production, supervisors and team/ peers in order to problem solve and share information related to show/ assigned tasks
• Implement changes and complete shots in accordance with production schedule
• Maintain an open and professional demeanour regarding direction, changes and shifting requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• 3+ years of VFX experience or an extraordinary demo reel displaying VFX animation
• Applications should include examples of vehicle & aircraft animation
• Expert knowledge of traditional animation principles and Hard Surface Animation
• Excellent knowledge in Maya
• Knowledge Arnold is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to take on a delegated task with a minimum of supervision
• Good organization and communication skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a strong team environment
