Nitrogen Studios Vancouver is looking for a Visual Development Artist to join us on “Sausage Party”, a new R-rated CGI animated feature film by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg . *This is a short term contract*

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Create concept artwork to explore and communicate the visual style of the show
• Design and colour character and prop turnarounds and orthographic views
• Create colour and lighting keys to clearly communicate the intended final look of the show
• Complete all tasks assigned within the scheduled time frame
• Accept feedback and critiques on designs and complete revisions in a timely manner
• Follow established naming conventions and file system
• Carry out all tasks in a professional and positive manner

Required Skills & Experience:
• 2+ years in design for animation or graphic design
• Graduate from an animation school preferred
• BA/BFA Degree in Fine Arts or Commercial Arts field an asset
• Strong concept of colour, composition and design
• Excellent drawing skills
• Proficient in Photoshop
• Experience in film and television work
• A working knowledge of Maya is an asset
• Experience with Shotgun is an asset
• Excellent communication skills
• Good problem solving skills
• Thrive in a high pressure, deadline oriented environment
• Enjoys working in team atmosphere and has a proactive approach to work
• BC Residents preferred, but not essential
