Nitrogen Studios Vancouver is looking for a Character FX Artist/CG Generalist to join us on “Sausage Party”, a new R-rated CGI animated feature film by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg . The CG Generalist is proficient in all areas of Animation production, and possesses an above average eye for detail. The ideal candidate is well versed in the Animation Front-End Pipeline leading up to Lighting with strong experience or desire in Character FX and Finaling.

Responsibilities: 
Conduct Hair grooms and Cloth simulations using Yeti and Maya nCloth
Compare accuracy of cached geometry with approved animation
Check for and fix penetration and intersection problems
Check for and fix continuity issues
Confirm that all shot assets are cached and shaded for lighting
Identify, and correct, any problems with cached geo
Promptly act on shot fixes as they come up

Skills and Requirements:  
Minimum 1-3 years of experience producing high resolution CGI content and effects
Expert in Maya.
Experience with hair, fur and dynamics is a plus
Experience with Yeti, Shotgun and/or Maya ncloth a plus
Must be a collaborative team player and problem solver
Must be meticulous and organized with asset management
Excellent technical and artistic communication skills required
Self-motivated and ability to work independently or collaboratively
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
BC residents preferred, but not required
