Overview

Nitrogen Studios Vancouver is looking for an Animator to help us on a new R-rated CGI animated feature film, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg’s “Sausage Party”.

Responsibilities:

• Work from storyboard/animatic to create feature level, key-framed animation
• Demonstrating a strong sense of performance, posing, timing, weight, and lip sync while maintaining shot-to-shot continuity
• Ensure animation adheres to the style and vision set out by the Animation Director and Directors
• Attend animation dailies and adjust/refine animation as indicated by the Animation Director and Directors
• Deliver quality work in a timely manner while meeting the quota assigned

Skills and Requirements:

• Minimum of 3+ years professional animation experience working with Maya
• Ability to interpret a storyboard
• Ability to work collaboratively, taking direction and feedback from the Directors effectively
• Experience creating expressive hand and facial animation in a production environment
• Solid understanding of traditional animation principles
• Able to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
• Enthusiasm and desire to improve your character animation skills
• Task driven, self –motivated and proactive team player
• Ability to problem solve and trouble shoot technically
• Experience with rigging a plus
• *BC residents preferred, but not required*
