Overview

LUX Visual Effects is currently looking for an FX TD to join our talented team of award-winning artists to create visual effects for upcoming commercials, television series and feature films.

Responsibilities & Qualifications:
– Minimum 2+ years industry experience in a vfx environment
(experience working in television and film an asset)
– Advanced knowledge of Maya
– Knowledge of Phoenix
– Skillful with dynamic simulations
– Creating FX (smoke, fire, dust, lightning, storm and water)
– Knowledge of scripting a plus (MEL, Python)
– Experience with V-Ray an asset
– Efficient self-starter with the ability to complete work through to completion
– Strong work ethic, highly motivated and can work independently or part of a team
– Ability to take direction from supervisor positively and thrive under the pressure of tight deadlines in a fast paced production environment
– Excellent communication and organizational skills

Lux has two studios in Vancouver and Squamish.
