Overview
The Custodian will support the Facilities Manager to maintain company standards; creating a clean, safe and positive working environment for Image Engine employees. They will act as the point person for all facilities related issues and perform basic maintenance repairs.
The Custodian will make weekly supply runs and take the initiative to ensure our studios are fully stocked and well maintained.
The Custodian will be flexible to complete additional duties as assigned.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Be the first team member onsite each morning to ensure the exterior and interior premises are clean, safe and ready for our artists to start their day.
Assist with opening duties of our studios (including coffee preparation)
Monitor supply levels and distribute appropriate supplies to all buildings
Perform basic maintenance duties and repairs
Coordinate larger repairs and be a point of contact for our various vendors
Transport materials to and from all buildings within and outside the studio
Assist with set up and strike for meetings and staff events
Assist with desk/equipment assembly and setup and moves as per production needs
Follow cleaning schedule as set by supervisor including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, window washing, mirrors, etc. to ensure our facilities are looking clean and professional.
Clean kitchen areas, including loading/unloading dishwashers and cleaning surface/table areas
Service, clean and stock restrooms
Dust and clean work stations
Gather and empty trash
Ensure parking and exterior premises areas are clear of any garbage/cigarettes
Follow WHMIS requirements when using cleaning products or chemicals
Wear all personal protective equipment as required
Support studio by completing additional duties as needed
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduation
2 years of custodial/janitorial/facilities experience
General understanding of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems
Customer service experience
Class 5 driver’s license and reliable own vehicle; will be used short distance for work purposes with mileage being reimbursed
