ABOUT IMAGE ENGINE

Well known for our Academy Award Nominated work on Neill Blomkamp’s District 9, we have gone on to create numerous incredible creatures, epic environments and extraordinary digital effects for a broad range of feature films including; Zero Dark Thirty, Jurassic World, Game of Thrones, and Independence Day Resurgence.

POSITION PURPOSE
The Facilities Intern is a summer position to help us with the set-up of a new office space and provide coverage during our Facilities Assistant’s extended absence (contract can commence as soon as May and we need candidate to be available through until first week of September).  There is a possibility for ongoing employment if both parties agree at end of the internship.  Through their energetic personality and “go-getter” attitude, the FA will support the Facilities Manager to create a clean, safe and positive working environment for Image Engine employees. They will act as the point person for all facilities related issues and basic maintenance for IE staff. They will take the initiative to ensure that all supplies are stocked and place weekly orders. The FA will be flexible to complete all duties as assigned

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with desk/equipment assembly and setup and moves as per production needs
Assist with opening duties of all buildings in the studio
Monitor supply levels and distribute to all buildings in the studio
Perform basic maintenance duties and repairs
Coordinate larger repairs and be a point of contact for our various vendors
Transport materials to and from all buildings within and outside the studio
Assist with set up and strike for meetings and staff events
Follow the daily task schedule to ensure studio upkeep
Prepare and maintain beverage stations
Support studio by completing additional duties as needed

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school graduation
2 years of maintenance/facilities experience
General understating of mechanical, electrical, plumbing systems
Strong customer service experience
Class 5 driver’s license and reliable own vehicle; will be used short distance for work purposes with mileage being reimbursed

Ability to lift up to 50lbs
Strong multitasking abilities
Strong communication skills
Proactive: looks for what needs to be done/areas of improvement without waiting for management instruction
