Position: 2D Character Artist

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Animation, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a 2D Character Artist, with a strong portfolio showcasing character design proficiency.
Skills:
Proficient with Photoshop, Painter, or the equivalent for digital concept creation.
Solid understanding of anatomy, proportion, and facial expressions.
Ability to create visually appealing and unique characters based on project requirements.
Strong knowledge of color theory and the ability to apply it effectively.
Creativity: Demonstrated creative and artistic abilities with a keen eye for detail.
Collaboration: Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and adapt to art style guidelines.
Adaptability: Comfortable adapting to various art styles and project requirements.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate and present artistic ideas.
Initiative: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving.

 

Job Responsibilities:

Character Design: Create visually stunning and original 2D character designs aligned with project requirements and art direction.
Concept Art: Develop detailed character concept art, including variations and expressions, to guide the 3D modeling team.
Collaboration: Work closely with art directors, animators, and other team members to ensure the seamless integration of characters into the game or animation.
Feedback Incorporation: Receive and incorporate feedback from team members and stakeholders to refine character designs.
Style Consistency: Maintain consistency in art style throughout the project while contributing creatively to enhance the overall visual experience.
Research and Development: Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and techniques related to 2D character art, and implement new methods to improve workflow and quality.
Meeting Deadlines: Ensure timely delivery of high-quality character assets within project deadlines.
Documentation: Maintain documentation of character design processes and assets for reference and future projects.
