Senior Production Accountant

Required Skills:

·         Must have a Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting or Business Management

·         Must have a Masters in Business Management or be a designated accountant (Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Accountant, Certified General Accountant)

·         Must have 5 or more years of experience working as a Production Accountant in the Animation, Gaming or the Visual Effects Industry

·         Must be proficient and have experience using Global Vista (Production Software)

·         Must be proficient in Sage 50

·         Must have advanced MS Excel skills and knowledge

·         Excellent organizational and communication skills required

·         Detail orientated mindset

·         Strong work ethic in a team environment and is easily adaptable in changing situations or requirements

·         Must be a proactive, independent individual with a strong initiative and investigative mind

Job Duties:

·         Managing Production daily operations

·         Maintain Production cost elucidation and reporting

·         Monthly review and reconciliation of accounts receivable/payable

·         Preparing payroll biweekly

·         Preparing remittance reports

·         Preparing weekly cash flow reports

·         Assists Producers in managing budgets and estimated final cost (EFC) reports

·         Tracking progress of artist resources against the Production budget

·         Perform tax credit calculations

·         Supports tax incentive/rebate process and tracking

·         Prepare information with Business Affairs for tax credit applications

·         Liasing with auditors as needed

·         Providing HR support

·         Providing administrative tasks to ensure the Production runs smoothly

·         Preparing cost analysis and other special reports as needed

·         Maintains assigned Production accounting records

·         Responsible for mentoring, training and managing Junior Accountants in all aspects of Production Accounting

Wage Range:

·         $85,000 annual salary/$40.87 per hours *depending on experience

 

Terms of Employment:

·         Contract based position 1 to 2 years with possible extension depending on the Production projects
