ABOUT THIS POSITION

Senior Technical Animators are vital to the final look in the creation process. They are expected to consistently produce at the quality and output level determined by their production.

Job duties:

General duties that most artists in this occupation, in our studio are doing:

Get client feedback on the graphic elements they are showcasing as a final composited image, as well as at each stage prior to the final render
Determine the suited means to produce the desired visual effect and the appropriate method of communication
Determine which graphic elements are used to produce the final image
Use image processing, multimedia software, layout and drawing software to produce our final image
Help guide the company on the timeline required to complete the tasks
Use photograph and illustrated references to produce our final images
Establish guidelines for the company’s final images
Coordinate audio visuals
Work in a multidisciplinary environment
Use computer-assisted drawing, modelling, animation, and compositing software to produce final imagery. The imagery is used for printed marketing on each production.
Provide 3D animated computer illustrations
The company’s shows are based on adapting existing graphic illustrations into 3D animated content.

Below are specific duties of a Senior Technical Animator working in our studio

Fine-tune simulation values to achieve desired results by the productions.
Make appropriate decisions for minor fixing issues and take responsibility for such decisions.
Knowledge of Maya constraints and deformers (native or pipeline)
Use animation layer to add subtle modifications
Use Studio Library or PAIE well.
Understanding of studio rigged dynamic system as well as most of the underlying attributes that affects the simulation. (nHair/nCloth)
Ability to use sim to create wind force, flying, swimming dynamic features.
Ability to solve minor issues from different departments: Small weight painting, replace assets, manually cache characters or asset, and so on
The ideal candidate will have:

A post-secondary education of 1 to 2 years from an Institution or College with a VFX specialization
Proficiency in Arnold
Proficiency in Nuke
Assist with training and mentoring Junior and Intermediate Artists
Comfortable in overtime scenarios
Achieves quota targets
Interacts with supervisors/peers for feedback on sequences.
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Term of employment: Full time

Language: English

Wage: $67,600 – $85,000 annually
