Description:

Looking for an experienced, confident and positive Studio Manager who can ensure our studio runs efficiently and dependably. The Office Manager will be the lynchpin of day to day operations for the Vancouver facility, ensuring a high level of service for around 50 artists.

The daily routine for the Studio Manager is a combination of recruiting, HR, admin, facility management, and business development.

Hydraulx VFX is a fast-pace home of visual effects for feature films, the ideal candidate would have an understanding the industry nature and environment as well as its time-sensitive constrains. You must be a people person, fast learner, enthusiastic and be relationship focused.

 

Key responsibilities include:

Heavy recruitment, negotiations, job offers, and onboarding of new employees.
Maintaining a warm, welcoming environment.
Immigration applications preparation (NAFTA, GTS, BC PNP), assistance in settling foreign workers in a new city.
Managing multiple priorities in various departments.
Answering various employee human resource inquiries.
Maintaining accurate records and financial reports.
Planning and implementation of future goals outlined by our strategic business objectives.
Studio Event Planning
Manage budgets
Other tasks as requested.
To be successful in this role you will have:

At least 2 years’ experience in a HR/ Office manager role.
Skilled at learning new concepts quickly while working under pressure.
The ability to work to tight and demanding deadlines.
Solid experience of the recruitment life cycle and solutions to hire creative candidates globally.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills and an excellent phone manner.
Attention to detail is an absolute MUST.
Extensive experience interpreting the BC Employment Standards Act.
Basic knowledge of VFX industry and familiarity with its environment and awareness of pace expectations.
