Ghost VFX is adding to our CG team (work-from-home or in studio, or a hybrid) in Vancouver!  Come join us on a couple of high-end streaming space shows… from full CG shots to CG-integration composites.  Full-time permanent positions are available, with a great location and full benefits package.   Small studio vibes within a larger international group, working alongside the Emmy-nominated Ghost VFX team in Copenhagen.

We have quite a few Generalists, but do let us know what your specialty/interest is within that area.  These are not junior positions, at this time, sorry.

Required Skills:

·        VFX production experience using Maya and V-Ray

·        3 years experience in visual effects for broadcast television, streaming media and/or features an asset

·        Proficiency in modeling, texturing, look dev and lighting hard-surface and organic CG objects, rendering and basic animation.

·        A proven ability in creating photo-real CG elements, rendering multiple passes for live-action integration

·        A proven eye for detail, composition, colour and lighting

·        Ability to work independently, solve creative problems efficiently, communicate ideas and concerns effectively, coordinate with other departments

Preferred Skills:
·        Experience in other software packages is a plus, i.e. Nuke, Photoshop, Mari, Mudbox, Unreal, ZBrush, 3D Equalizer, 3DS Max, Houdini

·        Varied skill set such as tracking, matchmove, layout, previs, animation, rigging, environments, crowds or characters is a plus

Qualifications:
·        Degree, diploma or certificate in visual effects, animation, design, graphics or other related field, or equivalent experience

·        Demo reel demonstrating proficiency and experience

·        BC Residency is a requirement; we are not able to offer remote work to employees in other provinces or countries

·        We are not able to offer LMIA work permits or PR/PNP sponsorship.  Working Holiday, NAFTA or Open Permits can be considered.
