Overview
Frame Lab is looking for a passionate and experienced Layout and Tracking Artist to join our team in Vancouver, BC. Candidates must be located in British Columbia and must be a Canadian citizen or resident. Employees have the option of working in-studio, remotely, or a hybrid of both. Frame Lab offers a health benefits package after completion of a probationary period. Part-time or full-time positions available. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide CG cameras and camera tracking to match live-action shots
- Object and character matchmove
- Identify tracking requirements for shots
- Collaborate with team to ensure seamless continuity of cameras between shots and departments
- Creating CG cameras, object, and character matchmove that match the original plate.
- Modeling geometries of main elements depending on the context.
- High attention to creative and technical details
- Proven ability to complete shots on schedule and within budget
- Taking responsibility for workload, time management, and notes required by clients or supervisors
- Able to multitask and switch gears as deadlines and priorities shift
Job Requirements:
- At least 2 years of tracking experience and strong knowledge of Syntheyes and Maya
- Thorough knowledge of camera moves and lenses
- Experience with ingesting and processing
- Some basic modeling experience is required.
- 3D generalist skills an asset
- A genuine interest in pushing your creative and professional boundaries
