Overview
Frame Lab is looking for a passionate and experienced compositor to join our 2D team in Vancouver, BC. Candidates must be located in British Columbia and must be a Canadian citizen or resident. Employees have the option of working in-studio, remotely, or a hybrid of both. Frame Lab offers a health benefits package after completion of a probationary period.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate and communicate with Compositing Supervisor as well as the other artists on the team
- Investigate and keep up-to-date on new and competing software packages and technology
- Taking and executing creative direction from clients, supervisors or producers
- Complete simple to complex compositions using both 2D and 3D elements
- High attention to creative and technical details
- Proven ability to complete shots on schedule and within budget
- Taking responsibility for workload, time management and notes required by clients or supervisors
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in a compositing role
- Working knowledge of Nuke
- Experience in working with live-action plates in film or television
- Complete understanding of color correction, blue & green, roto, mattes and tracking technologies
- Demonstrate the ability to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
- Good working knowledge of render queues and related technologies and issues
- Demo reel that shows strong artistic skills including a strong sense of colour, lighting, perspective, scale and composition
- Excellent attention to detail and desire to deliver consistently high-quality work
- Understanding the limitations of your knowledge and seeking advice when appropriate
- Good communication and interpersonal skills as we work closely with clients and their in-house team
- Ability to work within a small team environment
