Fatbelly VFX is hiring a VFX Supervisor to join our growing team! 

About You 
You are a VFX professional with experience driving creative solutions and owning the entire production process. You are responsible for the creative direction of projects and work closely with our clients to ensure they are thrilled with the selected direction. You leave your ego at the door and leverage your expertise to elevate the skills and morale of your colleagues. No problem is too big with your experience, patience, keen eye for detail, and passion for constructive collaboration. You may already be a VFX Supervisor or you are a Compositing Supervisor who’s ready for a new challenge!

Your Responsibilities: 
Provide collaborative and attentive VFX supervision to our team of VFX artists (daily at our studio and as-required on-set).
Work directly with clients to establish a trusting relationship where they feel clear on creative direction.
Engage in bidding process to secure opportunities.
Collaborate with VFX Producer to ensure seamlessness in processes and timelines.
Work closely with VFX Producer to communicate change of scope.
Support VFX Producer in assessing staffing and resource requirements on projects.
Supervise VFX artists in coordination with the VFX Producer.
Delegate casting tasks to the team of VFX artists with an awareness of skillsets and capacities to support their success.
Explain and align VFX artists with client/show expectations.
Communicate clearly when there are unique requirements for pipeline.
Work within budget to communicate creative and technical input for shot design & completion with VFX artists while maintaining Director’s vision.
Facilitate feedback between the Director and our team – always ensuring everyone is on the same page.
Maintain strict timelines by staying on top of sequence/shot statuses in Shotgun.
Provide weekly status updates to senior management, including highlighting any roadblocks or potential challenges.

Your Qualifications: 
5+ years of VFX experience in film, television, or commercials.
3+ years of supervisory experience.
Complete understanding of the bidding process to support Fatbelly VFX in securing new and exciting opportunities.
Thorough understanding of VFX production, film production, and CG pipelines in a film production or visual effects environment.
Experience liaising with clients directly.
Desire to work collaboratively with our team by actively providing feedback and mentorship.
Outstanding organizational skills that enable you and your team to meet deadlines.

Experience as an on-set supervisor.

Base compensation ($180,000-195,000) + signing bonus.
