About Us

Encore VFX Vancouver is looking for FX TD’s with experience rigid body, particles, and fluid simulations. Encore is an Emmy award-winning visual effects house, providing outstanding vfx work for television and feature films. This is a fun, fast-paced environment where quality, A-list television is our forté.

About the Position

You are responsible for creating simulations under the creative direction of the Project Lead. You are proficient with rigid body, particles, and fluid simulations. Must take direction with ease and still be creative within the parameters of the shows style.

Responsibilities

Ability to take layout and animation, and successfully to achieve proper-but-embellished simulations.
Strong sense and knowledge of what needs to be done in various pipeline steps in the FX/Dynamics department.
Must have an understanding of the general film and television pipeline process
Well spoken with great communication skills.
 

Requirements

1-3 years of related work experience.
Vast experience with Maya and Houdini.

Basic knowledge of V-Ray.

Basic knowledge of Nuke.
Thrive in a deadline-driven environment.
Self motivated, enthusiastic attitude and good communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently as part of a team or independently at times to find the best design solutions.
