THE LOW DOWN

East Side Games is looking for a dedicated Game Data Analyst to join our team! You (yes, you!) have excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for identifying potential opportunities. You enjoy working in a tight-knit environment where your assessment of opportunities translates into product improvements (yeah!). Additionally, you are an avid social media and mobile gamer and are always on the lookout for new trends.

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Monitor game balance and the in-game economy on a daily basis.
  • Identify key performance indicators & ways to improve on them.
  • Design promotions that fit within the current game economy.
  • Use statistical models to unearth potential business opportunities within the game.
  • Work with the User Acquisition team to optimize ads and re-engage players.
  • Design additional tools to improve our analytics.
  • Identify useful metrics for new features early in the development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with producers, designers, software engineers, QA, and other roles.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • Bachelor of Arts &/or Science, preferably in computer science, statistics, physics, or other technical field related to measurement & analysis, advanced degree a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience working in data analytics, previous game industry experience a plus.
  • Excellent quantitative skills & a deep understanding of statistics.
  • Experience with Excel, SQL, Tableau, and R.
  • Familiarity with data analysis & statistical methods; scripting skills a plus.
  • Ability to look at large complex data sets & formulate meaningful conclusions.
  • Experience with A/B testing & calculating statistical significance.
  • Strong written & oral communication skills and the ability to work with creative partners & autonomously.
  • Experience working in a mobile &/or web environment a plus.
  • Facebook ad experience is a plus
