We’re looking for a smart, driven tech enthusiast to join our Technology team, providing technical support to our 200+ employees in our Vancouver office and occasionally at on-set locations. Support includes fault diagnosis and fault resolution of Linux, Mac OS and Windows desktops, whilst reporting, tracking and keeping users updated during the process.

You will also provide support on applications, including email and servers, production software including the Microsoft Office suite, Maya, Nuke and Houdini. Working from our Vancouver office, you will join a team of around 7 staff in the Technology department.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical support via telephone, email, remote control and in person.
Diagnose and resolve problems.
Track faults through our ticketing system.
Ensure that employees are kept up to date with progress.
Answer employees questions.

Person Specification:
An enthusiastic individual seeking an IT support role within a creative environment.

Education / Qualifications:
Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related area.

Skill Requirements:
Previous experience in a Technical Support role, preferably with Linux systems.
Able to work autonomously and within a team.
Work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated.
Keen to learn – through on the job training and personal study.
Good time management and priority handling.Previous experience of working in a customer facing environment.
Ability to diagnose and resolve problems.
Initiative to find answers to new questions.
Professional working attitude.
Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal.

Technical Skills:
Experience in the following would be highly advantageous:
Linux.
MacOS.
Microsoft Office.
Networking.
Hardware troubleshooting.
Creative applications such as Maya, Houdini or Nuke.
