Key Purpose of the Job:
Plan and co-ordinate the creation and maintenance of R&D and Pipeline Tools for use in production.

Needs to Do:
Understand the technical needs of artists and supervisors on shows at various stages of production.
Advise on direction of development resources and guide developers to meet the needs of production.
Liaise with production to agree the schedule for which updates will occur to their pipeline.
Plan and schedule development appropriately to production needs and overall company direction and clearly communicate this information out.
Facilitate the communication between development teams and departments across other global sites

Needs to know:
Extensive understanding of visual effects pipelines and tools.
Understanding of what’s involved in coding tasks assigned to developers.
Experience with Agile management techniques and ticketing systems e.g. Jira
Experience with MS Project or a similar package is essential; as well as with standard Office tools.
Understanding of the entire process of tool creation from the initial specification to the final testing stage and be able to suggest improvements to this framework.
Experience of working as a Project Manager or Co-ordinator within a visual effects or related environment
Familiarity with cross site communication tools such as Polycom and Skype is a plus

Needs to Be:
Logical and organised in their approach to problem solving
Confident when communicating with developers and production.
Proven interest in managing software projects and delivery of them.
Proven in project management to a high level
Capable of motivating and leading teams with enthusiasm
Calm and personable under pressure and when working to tight deadlines
