Overview

Human Resources at Double Negative are pivotal to our continuous success and we are now looking for an experienced HR Manager to join our growing studio. Reporting to our Head of HR – North America, you will be responsible for planning, managing, monitoring and controlling all activities within HR, ensuring the department deliver an efficient service and value to the business.

You will work alongside our Senior Management and the HR team focusing on all areas of performance management, compensation, employee relations, benefits, policy and procedures, retention of key-talent, change management, communications and organisations effectiveness.

Day to day, you’ll oversee all operation HR activities, most notable acting as a resource to the HR team for all queries, ensuring their HR approach is appropriate and information is accurate. You will be trusted by Double Negative to ensure HR legal compliance and communicate best practices and changes to legislation while mentoring and coaching the HR team. Managing Employee Relation issues and advising Senior Management in effective people managing, including annual review processes, will be a key part of this role.

We are a growing company so you will be influential in overseeing, creating and implementing HR policies and procedures while also driving HR strategies and managing both day-to-day and long term prioritisation within the team. You’ll also be tasked with supporting talent management and succession planning strategy alongside proactively identifying issues in processes/procedures and making improvements where necessary.

 

Must Have

  • Minimum 5 years experience as a HR Manager.
  • Strong understanding of Canadian Employment and HR Legislation.
  • Previous experience leading a team and mentoring the junior members of the HR team.
  • Proven experience influencing positive changes in an organisation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • The ability to adapt to change.
