3D Generalist

Digital Film Tree Vancouver is looking for a Maya Senior 3D generalist to join our team. This is a
work from home position to start. Possible in house or Hybrid options available in the near future

Ninja like skills you possess include but are not limited to Layout, Modeling, Texturing, Animation,
rigging, and basic simulations. We are a very small team, so we lean on one another, so being a fast
learner, team player and overall awesome person are super important to this role. You thrive on a
challenge and are proud of your contributions. We pride ourselves on being super cool, and we like
to have fun but we also take our work seriously creating cool shots and strong partnerships. Some of
the latest projects we have been involved in include Ted Lasso, The Umbrella Academy, and
Manifest.

Responsibilities:

• Multitasker extraordinaire. Be able to create assets, matchmoves, animation, or simulations
• Work efficiently and be deadline oriented
• Be organized, keep your scenes organized and work within the pipeline
Technical Requirements:
• Senior level knowledge of Maya and complementary software/plugins
• Experience Working with pipeline software such as ShotGrid and Ftrack preferred
• Senior level knowledge of visual effects terminology and techniques
• knowledge of art fundamentals such as color theory, visual design, and composition, and motion
• At minimum Basic nuke or AE experience
• Advanced understanding of computer and network systems and render pipelines.
• Minimum 3 years industry experience working on Live action feature film or Television
• Must be eligible to Work in Canada and a BC resident

Position Type/Expected hours:

• This is a full-time position and averages 40 hours per week
• This position works standard business hours but may occasionally require long hours or weekend
work.
