ABOUT THE ROLE

The Production Manager is a pivotal role to both project and general facility based workflow tasks and processes.  Being a smaller studio the PM will need to wear many hats and feel comfortable jumping from one task to another based on highest priority.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to learn all aspects of how a VFX Studio runs, with great potential for growth down the track.

 

RESPONSIBILITES

Production:

·      Work with VFX Supervisor on creating and managing shot schedules based on show priorities

·      Clearing & accurately communicating deadlines, priorities and essential notes to artists on a daily basis

·      Track the status of all shots in the pipeline, maintaining an accurate and up-to-date database

·      Maintaining detailed notes on shot approvals and status.

·      Ensuring artists have the information and materials required to complete their work efficiently.

·      Use time management skills to schedule meetings and tasks effectively

·      Organize internal dailies and client shot review sessions

·      Ensure all email correspondence and scheduling is up to date, responding to emails in a timely manner

Managing I/O:

Uploading and downloading material to/from clients via Aspera and SFTP.

·      Ensuring accurate dispatch or transfer of data to outside editorial / facilities if & when needed.

·      General data management including creating and deleting shots, moving shots from server to server and transferring data other locations.

·      Ensuring correct naming conventions

·      Generating QT’s as and when required

 

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

·      Highly proficient with database management and Shotgun

·      Able to manage time according to current priorities in an efficient manner.

·      A self-starter able to work autonomously

·      Personable, approachable, calm under pressure, and able to work closely with others.

·      Must be able to multi-task and maintain a positive attitude when working under pressure

·      Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·      Preferably 3-5 years’ experience in a Project Management role within the VFX industry
