Overview

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide character asset models under the supervision of the Lead Modeler and working collaboratively with the Design team and Rigging team
  • Provide rigging and look dev ready assets that meet the technical requirements of the production pipeline
  • Demonstrate an understanding of a broad mix of character related disciplines such as modelling, texturing, shading, rigging & binding, animation, facial animation, and blend shapes
  • Prepare assets for physical simulations such as cloth, and hair
  • Strong knowledge of the latest industry standard tools, workflows, and techniques including physically based rendering
  • Effectively and proactively communicate issues with colleagues and openly adapt your work to the show’s notes and direction
  • Meet project deadlines and milestones, including weekly quotas, as set by project leads and the production department

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years experience as a Modelling Artist
  • Modelling/Animation Diploma or Fine Arts Degree and/or relevant industry experience
  • A solid understanding of topology, proportion, anatomy, balance, and form
  • High proficiency modelling in Maya and Zbrush
  • Experience with Game Engine, Unity, UE4, etc. is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
