Role & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for building out the functionality for specific aspects of the game to achieve the goals set by the Director
  • Responsible for building foundational code that can be expanded on for years to come
  • Have a deep understanding of Unreal, C++, and can easily read through and expand on an existing codebase, and communicate with other engineers
  • Build engaging and intuitive user experiences, with a focus on game feel and performance
  • Work with other engineers and designers to create the best user experience
  • Maintain high quality coding standards
  • Tackle difficult technological challenges and problems

Qualifications

  • Have a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and operating systems
  • Experience in developing mobile games is an asset
  • Experience with Unreal and C++
  • Experience with blueprinting for game play scripting
  • Quick learner that can leverage surrounding resources to solve problems
  • Seek self-improvement and are adaptable to suggestions and feedback
  • Understanding and/or ability to create frontend and backend systems for games is a plus
  • Familiar with Unreal Engine’s blueprinting and best practices for optimization a plus
