Overview

Summary

The Production Technology Coordinator is a member of the pipeline team who is responsible for maintaining development agendas within the Engineering Teams pertaining to global infrastructure, studio production technology, and show specific technology.

This role will work closely with the Pipeline Supervisors, the Pipeline Team, CG Supervisors, and VFX Supervisors to gather, prioritize, and communicate the software development agenda within the studio.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain technical meeting calendar, agendas, notetake, and facilitate follow-up meetings.
  • Maintain schedule and tracking for team development agendas.
  • Participate in: Scheduling and forecasting of development milestones and expected releases; Prioritization and tracking of software / tool development; Balancing team member workloads and developer responsibilities.
  • Liaise with: IT to follow-up on production technology requirements and requests; Artists, Leads, and
  • Supervisors to schedule rollouts and gather feedback on team developed technology; VFX and CG Supervisors during R&D initiatives; Production to inform on developments within the Software teams and collect production facing development concerns.
  • Triage in respect to: Maintaining and referring artists to known FAQ / Wiki information; Ticket creation, grooming, and categorization; Proper communication between show teams and software development teams.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+  years production experience in animation production or a similar field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Expert organizational & time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of production techniques and terminology.
  • Working knowledge of various office based software: Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and spreadsheet.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in production tracking software, preferably Shotgun.
  • Experience working with software production tracking software, preferably Jira.
  • Experience in Animation / VFX industry.
  • Experience working in an Agile / Scrum methodology and environment.
