Overview

We’re looking for Compositing/VFX Artists with an interest in extraterrestrial/otherworldly shots to work on “Project Blue Book”.  We’re in the real world, in the 1950s, but at the same time strange things are happening in the skies.  There’s a particular look and design requirement for each episode – not fantasy, but not quite real.

We have two positions available on the night crew at the moment – starting from 4:00 or 5:00 PM with some flexibility to work a mix of weekday (night) and weekend (day) hours.    All levels welcome to apply – we mainly need Nuke Compositors but if you have some 3D experience too, we can do a blended position.

“Project Blue Book” is a 10 episode series with visual effects positions starting now through mid-September.  We are working in downtown Vancouver at 666 Burrard Street.   We work directly for the production company as an  in-house team, although production has now wrapped shooting.   This is project-based employment as we are not a VFX company.

No LMIAs for this project.  Open Permits and NAFTA permits OK, and must be BC Resident.

Please submit a resume and reel to Gillian Pearson, VFX Producer, pearson.vfx@gmail.com
