Overview

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform technical quality control checks on all shots completed by artists.
Prep editorial timelines and run review sessions for Coordinators and Supervisors.
Ingest and exgest footage and media.
Manage file transfer systems, keeping track of multiple systems and protocols among a variety of clients.
Perform clip pulls and create LUTs.
Export shot references from material sent by clients.
Work with assistant editors to troubleshoot discrepancies with pulls, references, etc.
Communicate with VFX Coordinators to ensure efficient shot deliveries.
Manage file tracking software (Shotgun Studio).

Skills and Qualifications:

Exceptional organizational skills with ability to multitask. Highly detail-oriented.
Strong understanding of non-linear editing software, especially Adobe Premiere.
Strong grasp on color space, codecs, and film formats common to a post production pipeline.
Able to have highly technical conversations with editors.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients.
Working knowledge of Davinci Resolve.
Able to stay calm and focused while facing many demands in high pressure situations.
Flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience as a VFX editor a plus.
Knowledge of software management tool “Shotgun” a plus.
Experience with file transfer systems such as FTP and Aspera a plus.
