Overview

Bardel is looking for a dynamic and collaborative Community & Communications Manager.  This individual is an experienced social media manager, copywriter and brand ambassador that will spearhead the company’s strategy for promoting company events, internal networking, as well disseminating company wide messaging via various communication platforms. The individual will have a passion for event planning, project management and strong communication skills.

Vancouver-based applicants only at this time. While we are working remotely for now, when it’s safe to return to the studio we will want to be able to have your great energy on site regularly to build our employee engagement!

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with management to develop and execute strategy for employee engagement within the studio including managing the wide-spread adoption and onboarding of the company intranet (Workplace); keeping staff connected to the community.
  • Manage digital marketing campaigns, author blog posts, articles, disseminate visual content to enhance user experience of intranet platform.
  • Craft internal communications on behalf of the leadership team and key stakeholders ensuring company values are integrated, including (but not limited to) weekly newsletters, change management communications, presentations, writing employee biographies, drafting and editing speakers notes, editorial stories and intranet blog posts and executive messages.
  • Maintain the company website and ensure content is fresh and updated periodically i.e. create new case studies, new blog posts, update news, swap photos etc.
  • Maintain Bardel’s social media platforms with daily and weekly planning and curation (Facebook, Instagram, Linked-in and Twitter)
  • Act as a liaison with Bardel’s clients to help leverage the brand through cultivating marketing materials based on specific IP’s (e.g. Production stills and marketing case studies)
  • Collaborate on strategies to integrate brand awareness/objectives of the parent company (Rainbow SpA) located in Italy.
  • Coordinate & promote company events/seminars. For example Lunch & Learn workshops, conferences, Townhall Meetings, and annual parties (Holiday Party, Summer BBQ, Halloween etc) with occasional travel required for events at the Kelowna studio
  • Analyze and report on key performance indicators to key stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
  • Work with the social committee to create engagement within the company, to create company-wide events.
  • Facilitate and promote staff engagement programs such as staff awards, staff perks, discounts, educational opportunities i.e. SPARK workshops, DIGI BC programs, JABC mentor opportunities, awards ceremonies (Emmys, Leos etc.), as well as various programs as they arise.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism or a related field.
  • 3+ years of social media or community management experience for a media company preferable.
  • Able to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of various social media platforms, methods for tracking key performance indicators.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Copywriting experience is a plus!
  • Experience at organizing and managing community team events (both in-person and virtual).
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite, Slack and Workplace and MS Office.
