We are searching for an experienced Line Producer to join our Vancouver studio team. The Line Producer will provide people and production management for one of our very exciting projects, in addition to collaborating on other studio wide initiatives. This role will be responsible in establishing the structure of the production, its resource team, budget, timelines and processes within company standards. The LP will ensure that the quality of services provided meet the standards of Bardel and meet production deadlines along with maintaining a professional and successful relationship with clients.

What you will be doing:

  • Create, maintain and revise as necessary resource and time schedules for the production, coordinating multiple plans, departments, teams and resources where necessary and working in accordance with overall studio and client schedules
  • Work with Director of Production Finance, and other departments to establish a production budget
  • Track and maintain the production budget, including weekly cost reports, approval of timesheets, invoices, and purchases
  • In conjuncture with other productions and creative leaders, internally allocate resources to ensure best fit of talent on productions
  • Foster and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders: clients, crew, partners, outsource studios, broadcasters, and corporate departments
  • May manage the script process, including clearances, script meetings, delivery, and related budget
  • Work in conjunction with People and Culture and Director of Production for external talent acquisition; report on resource requirements necessary to maintain optimal and efficient staffing on the production
  • Complete annual performance appraisals in collaboration with Leads and Supervisors and when necessary
  • Establish regular team meetings, involving key supervisors to regularly review progress on production schedule

What you bring to the table:

  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a leadership roles for animated TV or feature film production required
  • Experience establishing, managing and tracking against a divisional budget
  • Prior success in managing staffing resources, scheduling and asset resources for a large team
  • Experience working with 2D and 3D animated techniques and software an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Commerce, Business Administration, Management or related field an asset
