The contract position requires the ability to quickly turn EDLs and reels into shot specific plates along with tracking shot info in studio database. Manage and update work in progress edits so that the Supervisor and Producer can review all projects along with their iterations on demand.

Job Duties:

Generate plates and shot info from EDLs
Convert plates between file types, codecs and colorspaces to match client requirements
Organize and deliver temps and finals in client requested specs
Communicate with client post departments
Ensure the production database is maintained with shot and offline color info
Apply offline color grading
Verify shots in progress against the edit for length, colorspace and timing
Preparing daily in-sequence edits for Supervisors and Producers
Organize and run the dailies session and/or client reviews
Edit show reels

Minimum Requirements and Desired Skills:

Working knowledge of Avid, Final Cut and DaVinci
Working knowledge of Word and Excel
Excellent knowledge of Codecs, Colorspaces and File Types.
Working knowledge of Nuke is an asset
1-3 years of experience is preferred
